The Gathering Ireland.
The Gathering is a celebration of Ireland and all things Irish so during 2013 Dublin and Ireland will be welcoming thousands of friends and family to Ireland from all over the world. There will be festivals, sporting events, concerts and many other events taking place around Dublin throughout the year and these events are a great way to experience Irish culture and traditions and also a great way to experience the unique sense of fun, in other words known as craic.
Waterloo House and Ireland invites anyone that has a link to Ireland or a love for Dublin or simply always wanted to visit…then 2013 is the year to do it.  
With so many events taking place in and around Dublin,, Waterloo House is the perfect base to explore and be part of this special occasion.

The Year of the Gathering is coming to a close so why not go out with a bang and make it a New Year’s Eve to remember with the NYE Dublin Festival!
Start of the New Year's Celebrations with The People’s Procession of Light.
For the 2nd year running this magical event will take place and this year it will be bigger and better. The procession will weave through the streets of Dublin with glowing lights and lanterns, performers and musicians adding to the atmosphere.
This event is fun-filled for all, kids to grown-ups, families and friends are all welcome to take part in this very special New Year’s Eve celebration. This is a free, family friendly event and to o be part of the procession you must register and you can do so on The People’s Procession of Light website. The procession did fill up very quickly last year, so be quick.
Ring in the New Year with The NYE Dublin Countdown Concert, College Green.
This year the headline act is the iconic band Madness and singer-songwriter Ryan Sheridan will also be preforming on the night.
RTE will be broadcasting the event live and there will be 3D projections on Trinity College.
Tickets for the NYE Dublin Countdown Concert are €25+booking fees and can be bought on the NYE Dublin website. Please note that this is a over 18's event.
The day after the big party, is a great day to grab some brunch so why not join everyone at The Big Brunch.
The Big Brunch will take place in Meeting House Square, Temple Bar on Wednesday January 1st 2014. There will be plenty to offer including live music, dancing, performances, children's entertainment and much more. You can also share your hopes and goals for 2014 on the special resolution tree.
This event is a family friendly event and is free of charge and no tickets are required for this event
